Decoding the Past: Critical Editions and their Editors

This two day conference focuses on critical editions of medieval and early modern texts. Senior academics and early career researchers will collaborate to explore the techniques and methodologies involved in making critical editions, as well as the interactions of computer science and web-hosting specialists with scholars in the digital humanities. Presentations will touch upon editorial choices regarding transcription and translation, intertextuality, the representation of identity in manuscripts and the interactions of computer science and web-hosting specialists with scholars in the digital humanities.
