Dr Martin Wiggins / Dr Elizabeth Sandis (The Shakespeare Institute):
‘Dramatic Discoveries: ‘New’ Plays of the English Renaissance’

This lecture will focus on a recently-discovered Latin manuscript play Dr Martin Wiggins and Dr Elizabeth Sandis are working on together, in addition to other discoveries. Approaches to editing and translating new finds will be discussed in the wider context of the significant expansion of the Neo-Latin dramatic corpus over recent years. Both speakers are fellows of The Shakespeare Institute in Stratford-upon-Avon, where Martin Wiggins is Senior Lecturer and Tutor for Research Students (and also an Associate Editor of the Philological Museum) and Elizabeth Sandis holds a Leverhulme Early-Career Fellowship.
