Digital editor of the Routledge collection Early Modern Iberian History in Global Contexts: Connexions

Deadline for submission/application: October 31, 2022

We are the editors of Early Modern Iberian History in Global Contexts: Connexions  and are keen to promote and increase the digital presence of our series.

The ideal candidate would be an early career researcher (e.g. a colleague holding a postdoctoral position) with excellent communication and language skills (English, Spanish and Portuguese), experience in working with video platforms for seminars and conferences (e.g. Crowdcast, Zoom), and with the time and energy to lead on the development and implementation of a strategy to promote our series online.

We would expect our colleague to initiate, organize and conduct a limited number of online author interviews, book launches, and roundtables connecting authors and themes in our series as well as host social media outlets (e.g. Twitter, Blog) and lead on content creation. We would expect our colleague to hold this position for 2-3 years, initially.

The position does not carry a salary. This is a great opportunity for an early career researcher to build their CV and develop and showcase their capability in terms of digital promotion and communication of interdisciplinary research internationally. They will also be able to develop their network and presence in early modern Iberian Studies globally. Last but not least, Pedro and I will involve and mentor our colleague in the business of publishing humanities research (all aspects of the editorial process including commissioning, evaluation, editing).

Application deadline: 31st October 2022

Applications should include a cover letter and a CV, and should be sent to both:

Harald E. Braun (University of Liverpool): hbraun@liverpool.ac.uk
